Like I had said with the phone call yesterday, we are going to practice only on Wednesday's now (5:30). I think we'll get plenty accomplished with just the one day practice.
The coach of the other team of the rainout game yesterday emailed me and he and I are trying to get it rescheduled. It could be on October 24th @ 3:30, but it's not set in stone yet. The other coach has to go thru the Metro East soccer club to get it scheduled. I'll let you all know when it's finalized.

Practice Game on Saturday Morning (9am)
We are going to have a practice game this saturday on our practice field. We're playing the other U7 Smithville team (Marshall); we play them during the regular season.
Please be up there at 8:45am so we can do some warm ups.
If the weather looks bad -- don't now if it's going to rain -- I'll call you guys and let you know what's up.

1 week of practice down
After the first two practices, I am encouraged as to how the kids are doing. I know it's hard for 6 year olds to concentrate too long on something, but it did seem like everyone was having fun.
As we get closer to the season, I will have scimmages with our team (I guess that's a good thing of having 10 kids on the team) that will help them get acclimated to game situations.
And of course, if you have any questions don't hesitate to ask.
And THANKS to Blake's Dad (Will), Zane's Dad (Darren) and Nick's Dad (Jeff) for helping me with practices. Believe me, I really appreciate it.

Welcome to the Blog
Just a quick welcome to the blog for the U7 Smithville Soccer Warriors. When I get the game schedule, I will post it here, as well as send it via email.
Practice does start 2nite and PLEASE be sure to have the players bring plenty of water. I'll give the kids many breaks during the practice time, so not to get them overheated (especially today).
